Accepted despite his heritage

Another flashback. For those who did not follow the story; once a year for a full week his irises change.

Luna noticed the strange behavior of Corvus, who seemed to desperatly to hide it. She saw how he was counting the days and following the position of certain stars and the moon itself.

Two days later one of the castle maidens brought a magically sealed leather to the Princess:

'' I have to depart from Canterlot for a week Luna... I will try to explain it once I will be back. ''

Not even a day passed and Luna was already worried about him though she knew that he did not needed protection. She came up with an excuse to her sister that she needed some time for her own and started her search after him.

Luna was following her instincts but especially her heart till she found him far, far away from Canterlot. He established a small camp in the northern mountains and was watching how the fire was dancing in the night.

Once she landed not far away from him she moved towards him and said with a rather annoyed tone:

'' You owe me a explanation mister! ''

The first thing Corvus did was to hide his face away from her like a frightened child.

'' What are you doing? '' Asked the irritated Luna and sat next to him.

'' Please... do not look at me. ''

Despite those words she gently moved his hooves but he kept his eyes closed.

'' Open your eyes Corvus. '' He hesitated. '' Please... ''

Corvus sighed loudly and did what she asked for. His irises have changed and they reminded her of dragon eyes. Desperatly the stallion avoided the eye contact with her.

'' This is why you departed? ''

'' I... did not wish you to see me like that... I was worried that you... never mind... ''

His eyes open wide after Luna leaned her head against his and gently rub his nose with hers.

'' You are silly if you thought I would not like you anymore. ''

'' In the Free Marshes... ''

'' You are in Equestria, here with me. Do not think about what was happening there. It doesn't matter what you are what matters for me is *who* you are. ''

Corvus did not say anything; he placed his hoof on hers and in his heart he thanked her for accepting him despite his heritage.
